Job Description
Recognized as a leader within division. Responsible for managing all aspects of external engineering / construction resources for capital projects. Develops bid documents, leads the selection process, responsible for all aspects of contract management. Responsible for day to day operational management of contract workforces. Responsible for compliance with all internal policies and external regulations governing project execution.
1. Provides strategic planning leadership by developing scope alternatives and project contracting / procurement strategies
2. Ensures and is accountable for all deliverables including schedule milestones, financial performance, and quality of scope according to approved project.
3. Ensures that the needed resources to lead/support projects are available by close partnering with senior leadership and divisional stakeholders; defines and develops project organizations
4. Establishes and monitors appropriate metrics to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and timely delivery of project scope.
5. Closes the project after approval from all relevant authorities and acceptance from internal stakeholders
Job Requirements
1. Must have experience leading significant (> $100M) capital projects in a manufacturing environment. Green field experience desirable.
2. Must have significant experience directly managing external design/ construction contractors
3. Experience with Quality Systems and Processes preferably in a FDA regulated manufacturing setting.
4. Demonstrated understanding of business drivers, customer needs and multi-site dynamics to create viable strategic plans.
5. Proven track record of management/leadership effectiveness.
6. Must possess strong ability to negotiate and influence others internally and externally.
BS in relevant engineering discipline or architecture, minimum 15 years experience in engineering / project management with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience.
