Thermo Systems designs, builds, commissions, and validates mission critical automation solutions. From our Engineering Center in East Windsor, NJ USA, Thermo Systems deploys automation projects throughout North America and overseas.
We are seeking a Field Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Technician with 5+ years of process control systems start up experience. This detail-oriented position will be an integral part of our project implementation team, responsible for assisting the project team in the installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of PLC based control systems.
This position is a full-time plant startup post with our team at our Mountain Pass, CA field office, located 1 hour from downtown Las Vegas, NV.
Qualified Candidates shall exhibit one or more of the following attributes:
5+ years of experience with process control systems start up
Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix processors.
Experience in instrumentation, variable frequency drives, motor starters, electrical schematics, and ladder diagrams.
Experience with pumps, valves, fans, electrical systems, pneumatic tubing, and other analytical equipment.
Experience with GE iFix SCADA software and/or Rockwell Automation Factory Talk ME.
The ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, layouts, technical instructions, and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude to understand and troubleshoot the machinery with which our control systems interface.
The ability to work independently, as well as, on a project team.
