Polara is seeking a professional high quality Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced next generation products.
Responsibilities
Be the lead design engineer to develop electronics, and software for our advanced Traffic Pedestrian Push Button products
Ensure new designs meets industry standards (IEC 61000, IEC 60700, UL 1998, FCC, NEMA TS 2, etc.)
Timely, effectively, and efficiently bring new technologies into Traffic Pedestrian Push Button products
Use simulation tools to prove design robustness
Ensure design process incorporates: DFT, DFM, DFR, and FMEA.
Develop design rules for new technologies
Document new designs using UML and INVENTOR
Mentor junior engineers on best design practices

BS Electronic Engineering degree from a fully accredited University. MS-EE Preferred with a software minor
Proficient in embedded system design (electrical and software)
